MARI.

Recycled wood furniture.

MARI is crafted for durability and customisation through various finishes, drawing its visually striking aesthetics from optical illusions present in art and architecture. Its name MA.R.I., came from the words of MADERA (Wood in Spanish), R (Recycled) and I (innovative).

Betanzos HB asked me to create a furniture piece that would increase the appeal of their recycled wood fibre panels (Tablex), which were mainly used as storage dividers or floor protectors. They wanted a product that inspired more high-end uses. Consequently, I designed MARI, a multipurpose circular furniture piece that showcases the material's potential for luxurious furniture.

“Mari” was placed in a hotel setup.
